Answer: BabyMelodyPilot runs on any PDA or cell phone that runs PalmOS 3.0 or higher. This includes PalmOS 5.0 and all known PalmOS devices from Handspring, Palm, Sony, and others except the Pilot 1000, Pilot 5000, PalmPilot Personal, and PalmPilot Professional.
Answer: A full BabyMelodyPilot installation takes a little under 260 Kb, but you only need to install the songbooks that you want to use. A minimal BabyMelodyPilot installation (just BabyMelody.prc and 1 .pdb songbook) uses around 150 Kb. You can use the "Delete Songbook..." menu option to delete songbooks that are already on your Palm device. Also, see the next question.
Answer: BabyMelodyPilot is VFS-aware. Songs are only copied into memory as needed. However, certain editing operations are only available for songbooks loaded into main memory.
Answer: There are various 3rd party utilities that will allow you to do this. I recommend Filez, which is freeware. You can find the latest version at http://www.nosleep.net.
Answer: The BabyMelodyPilot application (BabyMelody.prc) can be placed in flash memory using JackFlash, FlashPro, or any other flash utility. The dynamically created preferences file (BabyMelodyPrefs.pdb) and songbooks (*.pdb) should not be placed into flash (including HandSpring Flash Modules) since they need to be written to.

Answer: BabyMelodyPilot is most likely being slowed down by Sony's HiRes Assist function. You should select the HiRes option in the Preferences application and uncheck BabyMelodyPilot or Enable High Resolution Assist to turn HiRes Assist off for just BabyMelodyPilot or for all applications respectively.
Answer: Melody Pilot, a graphical desktop songbook editor, is currently only bundled with the Macintosh version of BabyMelodyPilot. I unfortunately do not have the skills to create a PC version.
