Melody Pilot for Macintosh/PalmPilot from Robert Jen

Melody Pilot

Melody Pilot is a graphical Macintosh application ($5 shareware) that creates music that can also be played on the PalmPilot using BabyMelodyPilot ($5 shareware but free to registered users for Melody Pilot) or Music Box (freeware from Tan Kok Mun; not all features are available in Music Box).

The main feature of Melody Pilot is a 75-key piano keyboard. Clicking on a key plays the note and saves it into a score in Music Box format. Note durations can be set by clicking on the graphics of whole, half, quarter, and other notes. Rests can be inserted by clicking on their graphics. The tempo, style, and instrument can also be set.

The resulting music "scores" can be played on the Macintosh, exported as Palm database for use with BabyMelodyPilot, or imported into a Memo using the Palm Desktop for use with Music Box.

Other features include:

(Note: requires Mac OS 9 or Classic under Mac OS X to run.)
